After having rewatched some movies starring Audrey Hepburn I felt inspired by the style of such a gorgeous actress and tried to recreate the outfit reflecting the fashion tendencies prevalent in the early 1950s. Since that moment I’ve been thinking over the concept and details of my new romantically elegant look.

I’ve decided to build my outfit around a midi skirt complemented by a pair of pointed heels. Items mentioned above have been known as a fashion mainstay since early 1950s. Nowadays they are still considered as wardrobe essentials that add a touch of glamour and elegance to any outfit you put together.

I’ve gone for a black midi skirt with a pretty cute floral print. I’ve added a cream-colored  three-quarter sleeve cardigan that is meant to balance the look by its soothing hue and completed the outfit by accessories of saturated hues like a fuchsia bag and a pair of pointed pumps of the same color that perfectly work together with the print on the skirt. To put the finishing touch to the look I’ve used a delicate pair of earrings and an elegant pendantboth pieces are in the form of heart and inlaid with white and pink crystals.

I hope that these outfit ideas I brought to life in this post could be a good inspiration for creating gorgeous glamour and elegant looks.
